This policy explains how Sidiko Industries ("Sidiko", "we") collects, uses and shares your personal data when you visit this website or buy from us. We follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its rules as they come into force.

What we collect

  • Contact and order details: name, phone number, email, billing and delivery address, GSTIN (if you give it), and what you order.
  • Payment details: payments are processed by our payment partners. We receive a confirmation and the payment method, not your full card or bank details.
  • Messages: what you send us by email, WhatsApp or our contact form.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser, pages viewed and items added to cart, collected through cookies and similar tools.

Why we use it

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, including returns and replacements.
  • To confirm Cash on Delivery orders and prevent fraud.
  • To issue GST invoices and meet our tax and legal obligations.
  • To answer your questions and complaints.
  • To send offers and updates, only if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it.

Who we share it with

We share only what's needed, with:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store. See Shopify's privacy policy.
  • Payment gateways, to process payments.
  • Courier and logistics partners, to deliver your order.
  • Messaging and email providers, to send order updates.
  • Analytics and advertising partners, such as Google and Meta, if you accept cookies.
  • Government authorities, when required by law.

We don't sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting laws require (currently at least 8 years under the GST law). Other data is kept only as long as it's needed for the purposes above.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a summary of your personal data, correct or update it, delete it (where we're not legally required to keep it), or withdraw consent for marketing. Email us at sidikoindustries@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity first.

Security

We use reasonable security practices to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information such as passwords or card numbers by email or WhatsApp.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

We'll update the date at the top of this page when we change this policy.
